DESCRIPTION:We are glad to announce the 5th International Conference on Small and Medium Wind Energy\, which will take place online from the 27thto the 29thof April 2021. The  event  is  the  continuation  of  a  series  of  four  successful  conferences  which focused  on  small  &  medium  wind  and  which  reached  hundreds  of  people  around the world.We are currently defining the first draft of the program\, but the main topics of the event will be off-grid solutions (with special focus on the Arctic region and on developing countries)\, new potential markets\, innovative technical developments and education opportunities. You are already more than welcome to register your participation on www.folkecenterevents.net.If some of you would like to contribute as speaker\, please send the presentation proposal here (Deadline: 8 March 2021).FREE PARTICIPATION & SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIESThe participation to the first four conferences was free of charge because the events were part of a project activity. We are sad to inform you that this support is now ended\, but we would still like to keep the quality of the conference high and the participation free. But how do we decarbonize our societies – how will we achieve net zero 2050 when heating and transportation are so critical to this and we have barely scratched the surface on decarbonising these sectors? \n\n\n\nShakespeare Martineau is delighted to be the UK host this year of the AEEC Spring Conference which takes place on 29 April 2021. With COP26 on the horizon\, we invite you to join us to hear more about how heat and transport sectors can decarbonise and the legal and regulatory frameworks needed to achieve this.
