Nowoczesna Hydrotechnika dla Rozwoju Gospodarki Wodnej is a national conference dedicated to the future of water management and hydraulic engineering in Poland. Taking place on 15-17 September 2026 in Kraków, the event will bring together engineers, researchers, public authorities, technology providers and industry professionals to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

The conference programme will explore a broad range of topics, including climate change adaptation, flood and drought resilience, modern hydraulic infrastructure, hydropower, dam safety, environmental protection, inland navigation, digital solutions for water management, and the protection of critical water infrastructure. Alongside expert presentations, participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, exchange experiences and establish new professional connections.

The final day of the conference will feature a technical study tour to the Świnna Poręba Dam and the historic Sucha Beskidzka Castle, offering participants practical insight into one of Poland’s key hydraulic engineering structures while showcasing the cultural heritage of the region.

Organised by Kraków University of Technology, the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management – National Research Institute (IMGW-PIB) and Fundacja Spacerowa 7, the conference provides a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, presenting innovative technologies and supporting the sustainable development of Poland’s water sector.
